MANNING MEMORIES
Meg Bishop’s Timeless Wedding at Gabbinbar Homestead
Meg Bishop’s wedding was a celebration of love, elegance, and timeless style. Set against the stunning backdrop of Gabbinbar Homestead in Toowoomba, the day was a perfect blend of meaningful moments and refined aesthetics. For her bridesmaids, Meg chose the Grand Illusion Gown in Black by Manning Cartell—an effortlessly sophisticated choice that complemented her vision of a classic wedding.
What inspired you to choose the Grand Illusion Gown for your bridesmaids?
“I’ve always envisioned my bridesmaids in dresses that would never date. I also wanted a dress the girls could keep in their wardrobes and wear again. The Grand Illusion Gown was everything I was looking for—chic, versatile, and perfect for our special day.”

Tell us more about your wedding day:
We got married at Gabbinbar Homestead, a venue that felt like it was made for us. The day was filled with so much love, happiness, and unforgettable memories. We had an incredible team of creatives who helped bring our vision to life—Leah Cruikshank captured our photos, Morgan from Filmed by Bolton handled the videography, Anna Plath from Rural by Anna styled our hair, Chantal Hart did the makeup, and Toowoomba White Weddings created the most stunning styling and florals.
The girls looked confident and beautiful—how did they feel in the Grand Illusion Gown?
They felt as beautiful as they looked. The gown fit them all perfectly and was so comfortable to wear. It was important to me that they loved how they looked and felt confident throughout the day. The Grand Illusion Gown was a piece they could enjoy wearing again, which made it even more special
