INTRODUCING RELEASE 01 • STORIES INTERRUPTED
Inspired by Australian Artist Nathan Paddison’s abstract expressionism and raw emotive style of painting, our latest collection ‘Stories Interrupted’ draws from the artists series on Queens which convey a sense of freedom and fearlessness.
Taking cue from the strong lines and bold colours of the artwork we explore the contrast of light and dark with seductive surfaces, textured and sheer fabrics, dusted pastels and brights. A deeper interpretation of the artwork is explored in two distinct print stories in the collection both emotive and naive: the Queen of Diamonds and Queen of Spades.
INFLUENCES AND DESIGN NOTES
Tones of silver, gold and black add glamour in slip dresses and separates with a sense of cool femininity. Style for day and night is seen through the tonal elegance of modern tailoring in soft pink and ruby red. Tailor made elements of menswear filter through with a play on proportion in a soft brown check contrasting feminine sheers of an embroidered pink blouse and micro mini skirt.
Luxury and utility merge in a high shine vegan leather that is the epitome of tactile exploring the senses in silhouettes reminiscent of the 90s. Re-imagined denim in softly tailored styles that work with everything from blouses to blazers in a distressed sky blue or graffiti inspired indigo add an urban feel.
